We purchased our first chickens this last march on a whim, never dreaming we would enjoy them as much as we have. A month later we got our first Marans, what a great breed. They are very friendly and beautiful birds.
Eventually we decided to raise the French Black Copper Marans. Our first hatch was on Thanksgiving, what an experience! This picture was at a day old.
These guys have been a blast! Cant wait to see whats to come.
